One of the amazing things that ACT! does to help to insure that there partners are well-trained is use a seasoned ACT! Certified Consultant to handle the training and certification....giving a very real-world experience to potential new consultants. They have been primarily using one consultant for the past 7 or 8 years for the training. Recently ACT! asked if I would serve as a backup trainer. I just finished my second certification training class. The week-long class was loads of fun and quite exhausting. There is so much to impart in such a short time.

A whole week you ask? Even with that much time, there are topics that have to be cut to get everything into the training. While ACT has always been known as an easy to use program, it really is an incredibly complex software that integrates with Microsoft and other products. I admire the trainer that originally developed the materials for training. (It's hard to remember what people don't know...knowledge I sometime take for granted. So it's important to have an outline of what a new consultant might not know.) The students are exposed to common scenarios that come up every day that a consultant should know how to handle.

Keeps me on my toes as well.
